At Cathedral Catholic High School, student-athletes learn lifelong lessons in teamwork, discipline and leadership. Inspired by outstanding coaches, competitive schedules and unparalleled facilities, the Dons are challenged to reach their full potential.
Cathedral Catholic High School supports a full complement of men’s and women’s athletic teams. The school competes in the Western League as part of the San Diego City Conference. The Cathedral Catholic High School athletic program emphasizes skill development, teamwork, physical fitness and, above all, sportsmanship.
The goal is to provide students the opportunity to work in a team environment and test their physical skills, as well as their mental skills, in a competitive arena. At Cathedral Catholic, academics and athletics go hand-in-hand. A student must achieve and maintain a 2.0 GPA in order to participate on an athletic team. The skills learned will provide student-athletes the opportunity to be successful today and in the future.
The success of the school’s athletic program lies with the quality and dedication of the athletic staff. Varsity teams compete in athletics at the highest level, and Cathedral Catholic is consistently one of the most competitive schools in San Diego County. Student-athletes are recognized as outstanding leaders of the Dons community and receive many honors and awards from the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) for their athletic achievement and leadership abilities.
Cathedral Catholic High School offers more than 35 programs across 80 teams and a top-quality coaching staff at all levels.
