The Cathedral Catholic High School community is empowered with digital tools to guide students to be resourceful, creative and responsible digital citizens.
Cathedral Catholic High School’s technology program will empower:
Cathedral Catholic provides an iPad to each student at the start of freshman year, and students also receive a new iPad at the start of junior year to ensure they are using the most up-to-date technology. Cathedral Catholic has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School since 2013 due to students’ and teachers’ use of iPads in the classroom.
The school is a leader in educational technology and continually hosts campus visits for schools around the country. Cathedral Catholic’s commitment to technology use gives students access to a wide variety of tools and resources to help personalize their learning experiences. Creativity, collaboration and deep exploration are all fostered and encouraged through the use of these technologies.
Cathedral Catholic uses Schoology, a learning management system, for the delivery of all coursework. Schoology allows students to effectively interact with classmates and teachers, and it gives parents the ability to monitor their child’s progress as desired.
Apple Classroom is a program for teachers that allows them to easily monitor iPads used by students in each of their classes. With Classroom, teachers can control iPads by opening apps, creating workgroups and keeping track of student progress with screen sharing. Teachers can even lock students into apps, thus allowing for maximum focus.
As a Google for Education School, Cathedral Catholic equips students with a wide range of tools including Docs, Slides, Drive and more. These tools enhance student engagement, collaboration and preservation of notes and coursework.
